You will be the Tool Setter/Tool Grinder for our machine shop team. Our team is responsible for setting up and maintaining the tooling for our CNC machines, working with engineering to develop new tooling requirements, and ensuring the quality of our products.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Tool Setter/Tool Grinder, you will be responsible for setting up tooling for CNC machines, interpreting blueprints and engineering specifications, and using precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate and high-quality products. You will also work closely with engineering, machine operators, and management to ensure that tooling requirements are met and that production runs smoothly. Your responsibilities will include:
•Setting up tooling for CNC machines
•Interpreting blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications
•Using precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate and high-quality products
•Tracking calibrated machine fixtures and ordering new tooling as needed
•Monitoring and verifying quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures
•Working with engineering to develop new tooling requirements

Basic Qualifications:
1 year experience in a machine shop, dealing with tooling, tool setting, and use of basic hand tools.
This job requires interface with engineering, machine operators, and management.
Facility requires special access, therefore, US citizenship is required
Desired Skills:
3 years experience in a machine shop dealing with tooling, tool setting, and ordering tooling as needed.
Basic knowledge of tool grinding.
Good organizational skills as well as being able to prioritize work.
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
Possess good communication skills both verbal and written.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
