Reporting to the Maintenance Logistics Manager (based in Germany), the incumbent is responsible for maintaining aeronautical parts and tooling, supporting the Operation at London Heathrow, and supporting the Air Canada network across Europe and the greater network.
Responsibilities:Perform daily auditing, shipping, receiving, inspection, issuing, order processing, unserviceable processing and stocking of inventory and update the internal ERP system accordinglyPreparation and shipping of part orders to outlying basesCoordinate delivery of AOG’s (Aircraft on Ground), including customs clearance of AOG parts after hours when neededAction reports i.e., Time expired material, issued out parts/tooling & wheel rotationUnderstanding of customs regulations and prepare shipping documentationHandle and ship dangerous goods traveling by airMonitor and maintaining inventory to right levels and consult with Supply Chain in Canada for any requirementsHave a good awareness of dangerous goods and hold a DG shipper’s qualification, in Compliance with the current IATA DGR, Canadian Transportation of goods Act and other relevant governing bodiesClassify, Identity, Package, Mark, Label, and document Dangerous Goods (upon successful completion of the Air Canada exam for Dangerous Goods for Shippers)Ensure Air Canada corporate guidelines and policies are always adhered to while working in a safe mannerHeavy lifting neededBe initiative-taking while managing workload and prioritiesEnsure that housekeeping standards are maintained as per health & safety guidelinesMonitor temperature & humidity of storage areasCollect/deliver aircraft parts to from Cargo or from other brokers – On or off airport propertyOther related duties as assigned
QualificationsMust have a valid full (manual) UK drivers licenseForklift license an assetMust have High School Diploma or equivalentMust have a minimum of 2 years warehouse experienceMust have the right to work in the United Kingdom unrestrictedTraining and/or experience in inventory management and purchasing an assetAbility to travel unrestricted within the UK or abroad to support AOG activitiesKnowledge of aircraft parts preferred and knowledge of common hardware essentialBasic computer and data entry skills neededMust have effective communication skills and the ability to interact with other departments, employees, and supervisorsAbility to work under pressure, plan workload and work to deadlines with minimal supervisionMust be a collaborator and represent Air Canada in a professional mannerWear company uniform as prescribed and conform to company grooming standardsRequired to wear PPE in designated high-risk areasWork shift work with an emphasis on flexibility to fit operational requirements, including AOG coverage when neededEnglish language is required
