ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM
As Software Developer, we need you to focus on our customers to give them a secure, reliable, system. You will be working with a diverse team of like-minded people trained in various other technologies. We work together to deliver valuable software changes efficiently. We use automation, and the latest technologies to improve our productivity, without sacrificing quality. We use continuous improvement feedback loops to streamline how we develop software.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Help our team design and build new features, by understanding the requirements and discussing them with the wider team.
- You will mentor and guide more junior team members.
- You will manage your own time, as part of a self-organizing scrum team.
- Help the team estimate the complexity of technical work.
- Follow our coding guidelines, best practices, and all technical processes. And ensure they are followed by less experienced developers.
Qualifications
ABOUT YOUR SKILLS
- A graduate in computer sciences or engineering is essential, with at least 3 years of experience in C
- Excellent experience of C, .Net Core, and object-oriented programming.
- Good experience of microservice architecture and JSON REST APIs.
- Experience of WPF or XAML would be advantageous.
- Solid knowledge of the defect life cycle: why, what, and when we should test.
- Solid knowledge of how to write and design object-oriented code. If you have used design patterns that would be advantageous.
- Must be able to understand a specification and use that knowledge determine tests positive, negative and edge cases.
- Good knowledge of unit testing, xUnit and Moq preferred.
- Good Knowledge of version control / source code management. GIT is preferred.
- Experience of using relational databases from C: Maria DB or MySQL databases are preferable. Knowledge of using SQL DDL to create tables and indexes would be advantageous.
- Ability to work well as a member of a team.
- Ability to communicate clearly in a multicultural environment.
