Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an Equipment Maintenance Specialist (Chip and Fluids Recycling) to join the Facilities & Equipment Maintenance team based out of Helena, Montana.
The Equipment Maintenance Specialist (Chip and Fluids Recycling) position is responsible for collecting and managing all recyclable materials, including titanium and aluminum chips, cans, plastic, coolant, etc., from the Helena site. This role involves coordinating with third parties for pickups and removal. Additionally, the position is responsible for managing solid waste and wood recycling areas to ensure they are organized and safe, as well as working with third parties for pickups as needed. The role also includes managing oil and coolant storage and dispersal throughout the site to support production requirements.
Responsibilities include organizing the chip recycling room, maintaining 5S standards, and performing daily maintenance and preventative maintenance on the equipment in the room.
This is a 1st shift position Monday through Thursday, but hours need to be flexible to work with 3rd party supplier pickups and deliveries.
Position Responsibilities:
- Works under general supervision with understanding of the job
- Performs maintenance on factory equipment
- Troubleshoots, analyzes, inspects, disassembles, rebuilds, modifies and tests factory machinery and equipment as necessary using knowledge in areas such as mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Assists with interpreting blueprints and schematics to maintain and repair equipment
- Responds to requests for equipment repair
- Identifies and requests component and replacement part inventories
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 1+ years of experience maintaining, repairing, and conducting preventive maintenance on commercial mechanical systems
- 1+ years of experience interpreting commercial technical data including drawings, maintenance and operations manuals
- 1+ years of experience working with various material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks and cranes
- Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, bending, kneeling and lifting
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 1+ years of experience operating Electrical, Mechanical, and/or Hydraulic Systems.
- 1+ years of experience performing predictive and/or preventative maintenance.
- 1+ years of experience working with suppliers.
- Ability to take direction, multi-task, perform work safely and communicate in written and verbal form.

Summary pay range: $52,000 – 60,500
