Summary:
Responsible for operating electromechanical equipment in the assembly of electronic circuit boards.
This includes setup, operation, and light maintenance of soldering machines while ensuring adherence to IPC-A-610 standards.
Operate automated soldering equipment in a manufacturing environment
Set up and verify jobs using computer-generated setup sheets
Monitor assembly processes and ensure quality standards are met
Perform basic machine programming for soldering applications
Communicate technical errors, machine malfunctions, and improvements to leads and support teams
Perform light equipment maintenance and workspace cleanup
Ensure quality by adhering to IPC-A-610 standards
Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience operating electromechanical or CNC-type equipment
Ability to read and interpret cable diagrams, wiring drawings, and schematics
Basic mechanical aptitude and soldering skills to J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 standards
Experience with pick-and-place machines, wave soldering, and water wash equipment
Familiarity with hand tools: cutters, strippers, crimpers, torque drivers, etc.
Strong attention to detail and pride in work quality
Team-oriented, dependable, and proactive communicator
Willingness to report quality issues and suggest improvements
Comfortable working in a climate-controlled, team-based environment
Must be able to stand for extended periods
Manual dexterity and visual acuity required for fine-detail work
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Work Environment:
Climate-controlled manufacturing setting with frequent interaction with team members.
