Contract Position
Pay Estimated: $21.80-$26.80/Hour
This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors, (geographical location, etc.)
Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.
Responsibilities:
Perform moderately complex assembly operations on electronic/mechanical components including boards, panels, cables, and subassemblies.
Follow established work instructions, schematics, drawings, and process documentation to assemble and test products.
Install components, complete cable harnessing, hand soldering (to J-STD-001 standard), and mechanical hardware integration.
Conduct electrical testing and visual inspections to validate functionality and conformance.
Log and maintain accurate records using internal work order management systems.
Support rework, refurbishment, and prototype builds as needed.
Use and maintain measuring and test equipment appropriately.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
High school diploma or GED and 4+ years of hands-on manufacturing/assembly experience.
Strong experience with electro-mechanical integration, soldering, or cable/harness builds.
Familiarity with J-STD-001 and NASA/space addendum standards (preferred).
Ability to interpret technical schematics and blueprints.
Comfortable with data entry, documentation, and using work order systems.
Proficient with hand tools, torque wrenches, multimeters, and related shop equipment.
- Preferred Qualifications:
Certification or experience with J-STD-001 (especially with space addendum).
Experience in aerospace, spaceflight, or defense electronics production.
Previous work in ISO or AS9100-regulated environments.
Comfortable working in a team-based, lean manufacturing environment.
