We have an exciting opening for a Value Stream Team Leader in Hicksville, OH.
This position leads the operation of one or more plant value streams. ensuring a safe work environment, driving quality improvements, providing premier customer service, developing a qualified workforce, reducing operating costs, inventories and lead times through continuous improvements. Responsible for associate development, budget development and adherence, employment decisions related to and performance. This is a 2nd shift position. Potential for training and fill in on alternate shifts.
Your day-to-day / What we are expecting from you / Your responsibilities
- Leads the plant value stream(s) in daily operations and continuous improvements, production control, manufacturing priorities and coordination between all shifts in the value stream.
- Create continuous product flow, utilize pull systems, level the workload, ensure standardized work and processes are followed and the area is compliant with safety and 5S requirements.
- Instill and maintain a positive team atmosphere; hold regular team meetings, assign team member tasks, provide effective cross training.
- Encourage team to stop and fix problems in order to get quality right the first time.
- Maintain Team Improvement Boards and Tracking Center using PDCA to ensure results and assure no problems are hidden.
Who we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 3- 5 years’ management or supervisory experience.
- Sufficient background in accounting, PC skills, manufacturing, human resource management and inventory control.
- Demonstrated teamwork and team-building skills.
- Serve as model by promoting safety, new ideas and positive change.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with LEAN teams or leading LEAN teams is preferred.
