Job Description:
Integrated into Gilles&39; teams, you will work within the Contract Manager team, which is responsible for managing NH90 contracts for various clients.
The main mission is to Manage the contracts execution, either under MSCF responsibility
Responsabilities:
To ensure the satisfaction of Airbus Helicopters Customer, ie the French Government and Belgian Government, in regard of the operation of its NH90 helicopter fleet.
Within this utmost priority, develop Customer Services sales and profitability with these customers for NH90 platforms operated by French Navy and Belgian Armed Forces
Contract management, split in contract management role (CM) and Operational coordination role (LM):
Manages the contracts execution (CM) related to NH90 operated by the French Government and Belgian Government, placed under the MSCF scope of responsibility, in regard of AH internal, subcontracted, and partnered activities, so as to achieve business targets while ensuring the best customer relationship management.
This role includes operational contractual coordination (LM for Lay-up management) towards ESFA disciplines, and any other functions involved in the contract execution.
It also includes collection of any KPIs necessary for plateau visual management elaboration.
Contract Management (CM) :
Customer relation:
Supports the KAM team when elaborating the contracts and amendments.
Is accountable of contractual performance towards the customer, and therefore manages the customer relation during the contract execution phase.
Specifies with customers (and any necessary AH disciplines) the contractual deliverables (ex: lay-up files, DMR, etc…).
Negociates the extra-works with the KAM/Sales representative and the support of all necessary disciplines (mainly workshop management and production engineering for A/C activities).
Manages the external and internal contract reviews, such as but not limited to, retrofits reviews, NH90 plateau reviews, Customer sheets meetings.
Manages the relation towards customers jointly with KAM/Sales, aiming to keep them periodically informed about the contract execution progress. To do so, dedicated meetings or reports are managed and issued.
Business implementation:
Is accountable for P&L of the services (NH90) sold to the French under the MSCF direct responsibility, and accountable of budget for activities performed by MSCF under delegation of Program (in the frame of the Belgian Activity).
Proposes and gets approval of the OP for concerned scope, including commitment taken on cost, profitability, cash & WIP, etc. Checks with Finance support the achievement of this OP (turnover, GM) and that delivered services are invoiced in due time.
Assigns operational objectives to disciplines (costs, lead-times, quality).
Provides Finance with budget follow-up breakdown needs (EOTP cascade).
Quality & Improvement:
Manages the quality gates iaw EI050 19-020 (QGs 0, 1, 6, 7) and any actions necessary to reach contractual targets (OTD, OTQ) with participation and support of disciplines (mainly ESFA designated personnels per contract).
Manages risks and claims. Main claims and risks are communicated to Programme Directorate for validation before joint communication towards customers if any and when relevant.
Manages customer complaints. Specific action plans are set up and animated to address topics considered as “iritants” by the customers.
Animates contractuel RetEx, and necessary improvement actions.
Lead-times:
Plans and supervises the contractual execution (main milestones, QGs, reviews, etc…). Validates S&OP inputs.
Checks the progress of the contract vs agreed planning.
Operational coordination & Lay-up Management (LM)
Business implementation:
Has the functionnal authority entitling him/her to coordinate the personnels of each discipline designated and allocated to the contract and to manage their priorities.
To ease this “functional” management role, a Plateau organization is promoted and set up when ever relevant (complex contract / lay-ups) with a co-location of all white collars next to the LM (CM).
Checks with each discipline manager (or “Plateau” designated personnel) costs actuals and contractual progress vs targets (EVM).
For retrofits activities performed under delegation of Program Directorate, this monitoring / reporting is ensured with Program PMO and PSO.
Consolidates the extra-works file prepared by the Production engineering before presentation to the CM for negociation with the customer.
Quality & Improvement:
Manages QGs (those not managed by the CM) and operational milestones iaw EI 050 19-020 and any actions necessary to reach contractual targets (OTD, OTQ), with participation and support of disciplines (mainly EBSFA designated personnels per contract) and IQP.
Lead-times:
Checks issuance in due time of deliverables vs contractual planning. This verification is achieved through weekly coordination meetings.
Alerts the contract manager (if the CM and LM roles are not ensured by the same person), about any major deviation from the contractual planning, or risk of deviation.
This alert is issued by any relevant mean (coordination meetings, contract review, production PACA meetings, etc…).

French government procurement strategies yielding very complex contract structures
Exposure: issues may be escalated very quickly at the highest levels of the Group.
Numerous interfaces, both with external bodies and internal Departments (NAHEMA, DMAé, DGA, end users, design office, technical, commercial, logistic, industry, programme quality human resources, etc…)
Aggregation of services requiring a robust coordination (mix of Serial activities such as post delivery completion and maintenance operations (periodical checks & repairs), global contracts
Academic studies in the field of Aeronautical Maintenance
Strong knowledge and skills in:
Project management, Programme management, Contract management
Customer relationship management
Industrial management
Mastery of helicopter design and operation, as required to interface with operators and engineering
Mastery of regulatory environment English
