Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a First-Line Manufacturing Manager (Level K) to support Skin and Spar (S&S) in Auburn and Puyallup, Washington.

This manager will work to drive Boeing Production Systems (BPS) standards and implementation across both Skin and Spar sites, utilizing strong interpersonal and coaching skills to adopt, accelerate, and lead change. The manager in this role will effectively communicate the why behind LEAN principles and BPS priorities, teach these standards to all levels, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve results.
 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing advanced technical knowledge and leadership to manufacturing projects to resolve production concerns
  • Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives
  • Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience working in an aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environment.
  • 1+ years of experience leadership role leading teams, initiatives and projects to meet business objectives and influence change.
  • 3+ years of experience using LEAN Manufacturing and/or Continuous Improvement practices and tools.
  • Must be able to travel up to 10 of the time.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in Boeing Production System implementation.
  • 3+ years of experience leading and influencing cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in building a culture of safety and quality.
  • Emotional intelligence and resilience.

This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Auburn and Puyallup, WA.

Summary pay range: $115,900 - $134,200
