ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM

Responsible for project financial control, financial performance reporting, and forecasting for significant projects or programs across the Borders BU, and for supporting the Project Manager(s) and team by providing key data to support recommendations.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Work closely with the Project Manager to clearly articulate the financial performance of the project versus the approved Business Case.
• Prepare annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and monthly estimates, along with variance analysis and communication to key stakeholders.
• Regularly review and analyze project financials, associated risks, and develop mitigation plans, including scenario modelling where appropriate.
• Lead financial risk identification, assessment, and management throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with organizational risk frameworks.
• Develop and maintain financial data models to support performance tracking, trend analysis, and forecasting accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with IAS standards and internal financial policies.
• Act as the Finance Partner in virtual project team meetings, offering strategic insights and financial guidance to the Project Manager

ABOUT YOUR SKILLS

• You will be a Certified Accountant (CA) with at least 6+ years of post-qualification experience
• Strong background in financial control, risk management, and data modelling within complex or large-scale projects.
• Familiar with working within a large global organization
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial modelling tools; strong analytical and communication capabilities.
