We are seeking a skilled Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic with entrepreneurial drive to join our growing aviation services operation in beautiful Sedona, Arizona. This is a unique dual-role opportunity for an experienced mechanic who also has the vision, leadership, and passion to grow a business as an equity-holding partner.
This role offers the best of both worlds: hands-on aircraft maintenance and strategic involvement in building and expanding a high-quality aviation maintenance service catering to general aviation customers in one of the most scenic flying destinations in the country.
Key Responsibilities:
As A&P Mechanic:
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on piston and light turbine aircraft.
- Troubleshoot airframe, engine, electrical, and avionics systems.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with FAA regulations and company standards.
- Maintain detailed and accurate maintenance records (logbooks, forms, work orders).
- Order and manage parts, tools, and inventory as needed.
As Business Partner:
- Collaborate on business strategy, marketing, and service expansion plans.
- Help build and manage a team of mechanics and support staff as needed.
- Contribute to customer acquisition and retention efforts.
- Evaluate opportunities for growth including hangar expansion, avionics services, or flight school integration.
- Share in business profits and decision-making.
