Raytheon has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Technician, Material Verification and Control (Receiving Inspection) position at our Fairdale, KY location. The selected candidate will be actively involved in the day-to-day functions of Fairdale Material Verification & Control - Receiving Inspection team. You will be responsible for Identification of non-conformances of incoming material received at the Raytheon Fairdale Facility.
This individual will be responsible for inspecting material at incoming inspection per specific instructions, drawings, or other documentation. The candidate will be required to present to the workgroup daily plans and accomplishments. You will be required to communicate findings to the Material Verification & Control Analysts/Engineers, Program / Supplier Quality Engineers, as well as Material Verification & Control management. You will input defects for both Hardware and Documentation to the Quality Notifications (QN) System. The individual will apply and maintain quality standards for processing material to ensure compliant material is delivered to the Program and the Final Customer.
NOTE - this position does not provide relocation assistance.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
- Inspect and accept electronic & mechanical hardware referencing quality control standards, workmanship, and drawing specifications; by checking such items as parts, wires, solder joints, and terminals, using appropriate inspection devices.
- Inspect and reject for tests or rework or otherwise approves hardware as acceptable.
- Prepare reports and maintain records as required.
- Meet necessary certifications as required.
- Perform incidental related duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications you must have:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum (4) years of experience as a quality inspector or comparable experience or Associates Degree and (2) years of relevant experience
- Experience using calibrated inspection measurement tools and equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and microscopes
- Experience with engineering drawings and blueprint reading
Qualifications we prefer:
- Previous experience with Military Specifications (MIL Specs) and Process Specifications
- Ability to conduct Audits per a defined Quality Management System
- Ability to utilize cPDM for drawing reviews
- Working knowledge of Quality Standards, Quality Notes, Specifications and Requirements
- CORE Team experience and Knowledge of Six Sigma
- Working knowledge of PRISM / SAP
- Ability to inspect and use the Quality Notification System (QNs) to document observations and defects
- Ability to recognize and enforce compliance to Raytheon Technologies’ policies and procedures
- Ability to perform quality inspections with minimal mentor oversight
- Computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to effectively communicate with management, supervisors, and peers to resolve issues

The salary range for this role is 40,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
