What are your contributions to the team?
- Supervise and optimize surface treatment and inspection processes;
- Ensure proper operation of equipment and suggest preventive and predictive maintenance;
- Write, update and ensure compliance with operating procedures and instructions related to the finishing plant;
- Ensure compliance with certification requirements (NADCAP & customer standards)
- Manage, analyze and interpret laboratory test results (internal and external) and propose improvements;
- Provide technical support to the production team;
- Act as a resource person during various audits (internal and external) and customer visits;
- Collaborate in the management of non-conformities;
- Act as an expert in health and safety risk assessment. Identify and implement corrective actions and act proactively;
- Act as an expert in chemical and environmental risk assessment (including releases). Identify and implement corrective actions and act proactively;
- Participate in the training and integration of new employees in HSE processes and requirements.
How to thrive in this role?Skills, knowledge & experience :
- Bachelors degree in electrochemistry or chemistry, combined with a minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment (anodizing and other surface treatments);
- Bilingualism (French and English) preferred;
- Knowledge of process-related health, safety and environmental (HSE) regulations and standards;
- Rigor, ability to work independently and solve complex problems
- Ability to implement new structures and/or procedures;
- Strong organizational skills;
- Demonstrate meticulousness;
- Knowledge of aluminum painting and dye penetrant inspection (FPI) an asset;
- Knowledge of aeronautics an asset;
- Knowledge of NADCAP certification an asset.
