The Pratt & Whitney Columbus Engine Center is seeking a qualified Quality Engineer. Candidates should possess experience in MRO Repair Station/Engine Center, Quality Management Systems (QMS), RCCA, Data Analysis, Technical Review, Inspection Methods, as well as Project Management.
Other focus areas are to develop relationships within Columbus Engine Center operational functions. The goal is to create a trusting relationship with an emphasis on rapid problem resolution, removing waste and variability from processes and improving quality and delivery.
What You Will Do:
Conducts activities to modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation, control systems and protocols.
Evaluate technical data and work instructions in support of Engineering and Operations.
Identifies and manages risk utilizing and driving UPPAP core elements (e.g. PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow and Control Plans, etc.) to identify risk in product development and propose risk management solutions.
Conducts investigations, provides analysis and develops recommendations for corrective actions for nonconformities.
Reviews process control documentation to ensure it is in compliance with requirements, objectives, and/or contracts.
Analyzes quality activities to identify systemic issues and enable development of specific quality initiative improvements and strategies
Develops proactive quality initiative strategies and drives their implementation.
Performs Escape Management procedures, root cause analysis, and recommends corrective action for internally produced products & processes.
Promote the Quality culture in the business, through compliance to the QMS and adherence to Quality Cardinal Rules
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of Quality Engineering experience in an Aviation or Aerospace manufacturing environment; OR Advanced degree and 1 years of relevant experience
Experience leading product or process non-conformance investigations (i.e., DIVEs)
Root Cause and Corrective Action experience
Experience with AS9100/AS9110 standards
Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience in Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) for aircraft engine and CFR 145
Proficient in Solumina G8 or equivalent Engine Maintenance System
Proficient in SAP
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis using Excel
Experience driving UPPAP core elements (PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow and Control Plans)
Continuous Improvement, Lean and Six-Sigma
Experience communicating with all levels of leadership; both written and verbal communication

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
