Tasks
The Operations Agent is responsible for:
- Calculation and Planning of load distribution for the aircraft
- Dispatch of operational messages as well as other post flight activities
- Loads and unloads the aircraft as per loading instruction
- Responsibility for aircraft and ramp safety
- Coordinate and monitors the suppliers to ensure punctual performance
- Secures load on aircraft (i.e. locks) and signs the loading instruction
- Ensures that all work is carried out according to documented quality manual procedures
- After gaining sufficient experience he/she performs surveillance duties
- Assists the supervisor in the GHA’s ground operations activities
- Provides regular and accurate staff feedback to the GHA management
- Performs local training for GHA staff – Keeps records of all support activity
* Perform all other duties assigned or delegated by supervisors
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a combination of the below requirements:
- High school diploma/ GED required
- College degree desirable
- 3-6 years of experience in airfreight handling and operations in preferred
- English and Mandarin language required
- Good computer literate skills o Good skills in computer literate
- Knowledge of local custom regulations
- Clean driving license
- Willingness to work on a variable roster (24 hours shift) including Public holidays
- Willingness to work in adverse weather conditions
- Willingness to accept changes in roster at last minute due to operational requirements
- Willingness to extend duties due to operational requirement. Should have a high team spirit, keeping the team together
