ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM
The Software Sourcing Specialist role is responsible for contributing towards the overall Procurement strategy for the Global Software category / supply chain and providing the proactive procurement and sourcing engagement to effectively reduce cost, mitigate risk and deliver value and innovation to Sita and its customers through the software category scope.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- To provide proactive procurement engagement on the Sita global software category scope, working with the Software Strategic Category Lead to reduce cost, mitigate risk and build and maintain a world class strategic sourcing strategy and plan. Contribution to building and maintaining the new 2024 Global Hardware Procurement category strategy and plans
- Contribution to building and maintaining the new 2024 Global Software Procurement category strategy and plans.
- Operate as subject matter expert to the wider business on the software category (suppliers, licensing models etc, commercial models and key terms etc)
- Help to evolve, change, and improve current software procurement processes, engagement models and identify and implement new commercial models and supply chain routes to spanet.
- Contribution to the new central group software category plans, and corresponding objectives and commercial value
- Ownership of targeted Procurement and sourcing engagements with assigned software suppliers
- Ownership of engagement with assigned key internal stakeholders
- Play a material role in supporting the Software Strategic Category Lead to deliver transformational activities across the Software category
- Run sourcing events for required software requirements using the most appropriate tools and processes
- Play a key role in building and maintaining the group centre of excellence for Software procurement.
Qualifications
ABOUT YOUR SKILLS
- 5+ Years IT / Software procurement experience in a global environment
- Negotiation of global Software contracts, frameworks, and terms
- Contract Drafting
- Software Category Management & Category Strategies
- Team player but with ability to work on own initiative
- Digital tools experience / IT literate
- Commercial mindset / numeracy
- Inquisitive and innovative
- Change agent – appetite to drive change, challenge the norm
NICE-TO-HAVE
- Degree / MCIPs preferred but not essential
