JOB SUMMARY: 

The Marketing Specialist and Graphic Designer will help to plan, design, and implement marketing and advertising activities by bringing their own creativity to the development of industry-leading collateral and ad campaign materials. This creative individual will be self-motivated, organized, and energized by new creative challenges. They will have a strong understanding of the full marketing mix, and be experienced in marketing life cycles from graphic artwork development to launch. This talented team member will be familiar with analyzing market research and incorporating that into marketing messaging.

The Marketing Specialist and Graphic Designer will also be able to create spreadsheets and analyze data to interpret ROI and KPI metrics. Their goal is to help the organization achieve its business goals through strong marketing activities. QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing or Advertising. A certificate or degree from an accredited art institution and relevant work experience may be considered
• 2 – 5 years of proven work experience as a Marketing Specialist, Marketing Assistant, or similar role
• Knowledge of marketing tools and techniques
• Proficient with Adobe Suite such as InDesign and Illustrator or similar graphics software with the ability to develop new content from scratch
• Comprehensive computer skills, including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Experience working with digital platform marketing such as Google AdWords, LinkedIn, YouTube, and similar
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong analytical skills with a goal-oriented attitude
• Experience with Search Engine Optimization / Search Engine Marketing campaigns preferred
• Strong verbal, written, and communications skills
• Demonstrateable track record of graphics design work development
• Proven ability to investigate and recommend media purchase options
• Ability to effectively manage multiple high-value projects simultaneously
• Able to respond to and navigate a fast-paced project environment
• Able to conduct market research by gathering and analyzing consumer behavior data (e.g. web traffic and rankings) and presenting findings
• Ability to interact with and direct vendors
• Can quickly change direction to accommodate immediate organizational needs
• Proven track record of successfully working in interdisciplinary teams. A collaborator and team player

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Graphic design work, artwork, and ad development
• Create marketing and advertising material such as brochures, newsletters, flyers, ads, and infographics from scratch
• Ad layout work, copywriting, and media buys
• Develop and maintain organized records of marketing activities and results from past campaigns
• Create reports on marketing metrics
• Manage marketing collateral levels, revisions, and marketing handout items
• Assist with organizing promotional and tradeshow events
• Coordinate with marketing design and advertising firms as needed
• Monitor competitors’ marketing activities
• Strategic execution of projects at every level of implementation
• Update marketing department policies and procedures
• Ability to visit bases and engage in image and video asset capture
• Collaborates with hospitals' marketing departments for co-branding opportunities
• Assists in departmental budgeting and spend tracking

OTHER DUTIES:

• Managing timelines and achievables for projects
• Assist in the organizing of online events or digital campaigns
• Partner with the Customer Service team to understand and develop new collateral and marketing campaigns
• Support Marketing Director in organizing, prioritizing, and executing various projects
• Support execution of market research and analyze consumer rating reports/ questionnaires
• Employ marketing analytics techniques to gather important data (social media marketing, web analytics, rankings, etc.)
• Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department’s activities
• Update spreadsheets, databases, and inventories with statistical, financial, and non-financial information where relevant
